Teachers teach a great number of skills and concepts on any given day. If a child misses a day of school, a gap can quickly begin where they are missing skills that were taught. Our teachers work hard to support children who have been absent and provide any missed work. However, missing a day of school means missing important lessons. If your child is ill, it is important to keep them home until they are healed, in order to avoid the spread of germs. However, we rely on your support and guidance to ensure that children are getting to school on time and everyday. If a child misses 2 days a month, they will miss a total of 20 days of school over the course of a school year – this is one month of school missed. If your child is experiencing school anxiety, please contact your child’s teacher and the office, and we can work with you and your child to support them in returning to school.
